As part of our mandate, Medical Software Associates has a complete understanding of all finalized aspects of the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, which is otherwise known as the HIPAA. Our work to ensure full compliance with HIPAA standards as they relate to the electronic transfer of protected health information continues on schedule, with complete compliance to be offered by fall of 2002. The regulations themselves take effect in February 2003, and will affect every medical practice in the United States. We are well known in the industry for providing HIPAA compliant medical software that exceeds the standards.
